Chapter 1 (Part 2)

I climbed out of the balcony and instantly jumped to the nearest tree. I charged towards the deer and within three seconds, it's dead. I felt a sudden urge in me. I'm thirsty. I sunk my teeth into its smooth neck and quenched my thirst.

After finishing my 'meal', I walked alone in the forest. Even without a watch, I am able to predict the time accurately. It's only 2 in the morning. I recalled my dream again. Still, I am unable to figure out anything about that dream. I gave out a loud sigh. I just don't get it. I started having this blurry dream with that girl ever since I reached here, Canada.

Feeling bored, I ventured around the forest. I walked around alone and after walking around for an hour, I decided to go home. Again, in just a few seconds, I was standing in my room. I cleaned myself and got changed. After that, I walked down the double-storey house and saw my family members there.

My mom, Joséline and my dad, Joseph were in the kitchen, preparing our so-called meal. My big brother, Raydaph and his love one, Madeleine are sitting comfortably on the couch. They looked deeply at each other and communicating without making a sound. These would only happen between a pair of couple for our kind. When we found someone that is meant for us, we can communicate and read each other mind. Even if you are a mind reader, you still can't read what they are talking as if there's a barrier there.

I moved my attention towards my younger sister, Angel and her friend, Venice. They are playing chess. Angel had the gift of cytokenesis, whereas Venice has the ability to 'copy' anyone's ability within a meter range. I laughed when I saw both of them playing chess. It was as if they were watching someone else playing. The only difference was that the person playing was invisible.

Almost everyone in the house possessed special abilities. Raydaph has the gift of teleportation. Angel's cytokenesis while Venice can 'copy' other's ability. Joséline is able to influence one's mind whereas Joseph can influence a person character and behavior. Me, I have the same ability as Angel. The only difference was that I was stronger. I can move anything I want by just using my mind and just recently I am able to see weird visions. According to Joseph, I might be developing the ability to see the future. Apart from all of us, Madeleine was the only normal being in the house. She's human and is the only human who knows about our presence in this modern world.

"Zach!" someone called me by surprise.
